HUMANTAY LAGOON TOUR

Explore the magic of Humantay Lagoon in Cusco, one of the best tourism adventures in Peru! This beautiful lagoon is located in the Cusco region, at 4,200 meters above sea level. This route is also the route for adventurers who take the SALKANTAY tour, which is a 5-day hike to Machu Picchu, this lagoon of crystal clear waters is the perfect place to enjoy an unforgettable adventure. Upon reaching the lake you will have the opportunity to admire these beautiful turquoise waters from the top of a nearby mountain and enjoy the spectacular view.

Itinerary

This incredible adventure begins very early in the morning. We will pick you up at your hotel in the historic center of Cusco in the early morning and begin a journey towards the community of Soraypampa, the starting point of your walk.
We will continue the journey through the city of Limatambo – located at 2100 meters above sea level – an important access point to the city of Cusco during the time of the Inca Empire. There you will find the archaeological remains of Tarawasi, a place that served as a resting point for those heading to Chinchaysuyo.
Then, you will continue the tour along the right bank of the Apurimac River until you reach Soraypampa.
When the time comes from this point, you will begin your walk up the mountain towards the Humantay Lagoon . Upon arrival, you will be surprised by the impressive landscapes of this wonderful place and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. Before leaving, you will have time to take photos around the lagoon.
At the end of the visit, you will walk back to Soraypampa, where transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
