Highlights Tour to Machu Picchu by Train
DAY 01 : CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU
We pick you up at your hotel at 6:30 am and then head in our private transportation to the Poroy-Cusco train station to depart at 7:35 am (in the low season from January to April, we pick you up at 6:30 am) 00 am from Cusco to Ollantaytambo Train Station for the Vistadome train 8:00 am)
Your guide will meet you at the train station at 10:52 am. You will have just a few minutes to get a sandwich or something for lunch before being transferred to Machu Picchu on the shuttle bus. (2040 mt / 7907 ft). Following in the ancient and remote footsteps of the Lost City of the Incas, listen carefully to the 2.5-hour guided tour and cultural exchange of the history of Machu Picchu. You will then be given free time to explore, take photos or walk to Puerta del Sol. Returning to Aguas Calientes, you will take the Vistadome train early in the evening at 17:23 to Poroy, where we will take you back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving at approximately 10 pm.
Meals : Snack and hot drinks on the train.
***Please note that from January to April, the Vistadome train operates only from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu and from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo train station.

You begin your trip at the Poroy station located about 25 minutes from the center of Cusco, the trip to Machu Picchu lasts just over three hours and arrives in Aguas Calientes. Peru Rail cares about every detail of the passengers’ needs in this unique experience.
The return trip is from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, it lasts approximately 2 hours. When you arrive in Ollantaytambo, we will return you to Cusco in our private transportation, arriving at your hotel at approximately 10 pm.
**Hiking Huaynapicchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain is not possible with the schedule of a day trip.
