The journey from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes takes approximately 90 minutes each way — through some of Peru's most spectacular scenery.
No — the train stops in Aguas Calientes. From there, a 25-minute shuttle bus takes you up to the Machu Picchu entrance. Both legs are fully included in your tour.
The guided tour involves around 2 hours of walking on uneven terrain at altitude. Comfortable, grip-soled shoes are strongly recommended.
